Custom gown for The Bachelorette Finale

Creating Georgia Love's Finale Gown for The Bachelorette

From the moment this season of the Bachelorette aired, we’ve been waiting with excitement for the finale, perhaps for different reasons the rest of Australia! Two months ago, the gorgeous 27-year old from Tasmania, Georgia Love, walked into our boutique in Paddington for the first fitting of her custom-made finale dress.

Anne Stringer (Stylist fondly known as Stringy) contacted us to created a show-stopping custom gown for The Batchlorette finale. As a fellow Brit Stringy and Moira quickly tumbled into an excited conversation of colours, fabrics, fit, details. The 'Modern Day Cinderella' inspiration became the centre focus of the design. The Disney blue colour looked perfect on Georgia which then inspired the delicate French lace used to sculpt the waist and hips. Her whole gown is created in the highest quality silk crepe which not only moved beautifully but is breathable and light for a big day of filming. We wanted to ensure her gown looked incredible from every angle so designed the back in a sheer silk to give the illusion of floating lace.

"Moira really makes her clients feel special & I wanted that for Georgia. Moira's gowns are so feminine & incredible attention to detail, she thinks outside the box, as do I, so we work really well together, bouncing ideas off each other; it's good to work with a fellow Brit! "

From the first cocktail party, Georgia made it known that she is a true Disney fan. Watching the episodes unfold and hearing about her continued mention of Disney made us excited about the inspiration behind her finale gown.
